Property Investigation

To buy or not to buy

For projects that begin with the purchase of a property, a key decision should include a comprehensive investigation of site conditions. This will determine the need and practicality of necessary service upgrades, flag existing code violations, identify hazardous materials requiring abatement, and onerous building alteration requirements to name a few. Once this is investigated, the Owner’s Rep will prepare a report with an itemized conceptual/order-of-magnitude budget and schedule. In addition to aiding in the decision to purchase the property, this report will be valuable in developing a control budget and schedule once the design development process gets underway.
